hey i have a 97 civic ex d16y8 and i just picked up a t25 from a saab at a junkyard for cheap. My question is should i use this t25 and get a t2 to t3 adapter flange and go from there, or get another turbo thats already t3? and the turbo is made by garret and just has alittle play! thanks!

you can use that, if thats what you want to do. If you have the extra cash a different turbo might offer more options for you

well, the decision is really yours. you could go either route. but if you already have a manifold that is flanged for a t3, then sell that t25 and get a t3 turbo.

well i dont have a many yet but i was going to get the adapter plate because the only turbomanifolds i find are all t3 flange

if u don't plan to get a hf manifold and get an adapter plate or get a greddy manifold, then i would just sell the t25.

t25's are great for small setups, but it's just up to you on how you want your setup to be. i would definitely choose the turbo first and build a kit from there.

and yes, most manifolds are t3 flanged. you can always run a decent size t3 that will spool just as fast a t25.....and possibly make more power.

^^^^^ yup.. t3 is the most common flange.. t3 off a saab turbo is also common..go look around and good luck
