Default S2000 muffler on EK

Can you guys tell me if the s2000 muffler will fit on an EK will it seat itself in there without banging anything, for example the LCA. I'm running a GSR muffler right now and that thing is banging the LCA like a cheap *****?

I have one custom made up to fit on a 99 hatch. I'll sell it to you.

Won't work with a rear ITR swaybar.

I would think you could do it. I put a usdm integra type r muffler on a eg hatch. It was a tight fit. I dont think the case of the s2000 muffler could be much bigger then the type r. Unless your a muffler man you wont be able to do it your self because youll have to rebend the 2nd exhaust pipe. Also I had to shorten the tip up on the typer muffler because it stuck out a mile. Did you want to reuse the tip on the s2000 muffler?

I am only going to want to use one of the 2 mufflers on the car. Are you guys telling me that the s2000 muffler is bigger than the gsr? if it is i'm not gonna want it. I'm looking for something small and quite with a 2.5 in and out.

D50boy did it fit good or is it a real tight fit? If you wanna sell it and it is what im looking for im game for a deal.

Thanks

I honestly don't know why you guys would go through all this trouble.

BUY A JDM EK cat back! $150 at http://www.jdmtheory.com

http://www.jdmtheory.com/pricelist.html <--very bottom of the page.

I put one on my 5th gen and it looks oem. the fit is excellent and its has OEM mandrel bends with HONDA resonators.

Only mod was where the b pipe met the cat.

i believe it is 2.25 or somewhere close to it. basically if a CTR motor can breathe through it, it is good enough for you unless you are boosting. as for shipping, I dunno. I am local to them.

also it looks perfect on a 5th gen. not shitty like a ITR muffler with a cut tip

sorry no sound clips yet. I will upload one soon though. its quiet. the intake overpowers the sound of the exhaust. Cool thing is, I can bolt up a spoon or t1r axleback if I wanted to. and its very lowkey. I love the look of it.

its a better bang per buck compared to the greddy and apexi WS units.

I didnt cut into the stainless part of the tip. You cant see where i welded it on unless your underneath the car. Ive worked for a muffler shop for 5 years and Ive done lots of custom things like this. Dont tell me I do shity work.

why don't you go with a stright threw traditional style muffler like comptech, ES oval, magna flow. then paint the bitch black and if it has a tip cut it off and put some exhaust piping out there

thats a comptech muffler that i hacked the tip off of and put exhaust pipeing on as a tip. looks stock as ****. i have had many people at meets ask me why i don't have exhaust. i tell them to look alil closer.

and this exhaust is stright threw, and still quite. if i take the top of the ice box off (basiclly running short ram) the intake is the only thing you can hear so unless you have a closed element intake you wont notice it at all.

i for one can't figure why people put stock muffler on there car, yes they probably flow ok but i don't think they flow that good. there are plenty of alternative to doing this

why would you put an s200 muffler on your car? Just get mandrel bent pipeing and a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler, don't forget about a resonator too.

Don't get butt hurt. I never said YOU did shitty work. I said IT looks shitty when part of the ITR tip is cut off.

I would love to see a pic of your excellent tip hack.

Yes, it wasnt a good question, but why give him all these other
options?

S2000 mufflers are very cheap. A lot of s2000 owners
just throw them away when they go aftermarket.

I wouldnt go buy one, but if you already have it, you can get
it custom fitted at an exaust shop. Make sure they do a good
job, every time I come home from a exaust shop I am very
unsatisfied.

you're gonna have to get a custom pipe bent to fit from the cat back, and possibly cu alittl of your inner bumber out, but if bent and hung right you won't get any rattling.
