S2000 Gage cluster
Doed anyone know where I can pick one of these up from? preffebly for $300 or less.
Also the tech question: Has anyone ever gotten the speedo on them to work in different cars other then the s2000's yet? or do I have to figure it out
And has anyone seen one done in a Sol yet?

I know a member WAAAAAAAY back when (before I joined) got the speedo to work in an eg I think it was. His real name was Art, I'm not sure what his h-t name was though. He was the one that did the very first k20 swap, ever. The CRX with ITBs.

Wrong kiddo. Art (Also known to some people as Pacman) had the s2000 cluster in damn near every car he owned but never got the speedo to work (minus in his S2000) I dont think he ever really looked at the speedo to begin with just the RPMs

This is true, my buddy wanted to do it in his EK. We looked/searched/talked to everyone we knew, read everything we could. And this is not possible to do.

Re: S2000 Gage cluster (JDM-EJ1)
What makes the s2000 cluster so hard to put into another car? Why won't it work, i'd love to put one in my EK, but I've always heard that it can't be done. Surely someone can figure this out.

Ive been tackling this task for a while now. ive got about 3 months into it.
BTW The temperature gauge is also digital with the speedo. it will read temperature but not the correct temperature.
I tested it and the S200 cluster between 1/2 way point and C is really over the 1/2 way point over the EG cluster
At the 140 degree mark on the EG cluster its between the 1/2 way point and cold.
on the S2000 cluster it reads cold.
So im figuring out a way to convert everything over.

Re: (makavelli1227)
Guys if I had a cluster it wouldent take me long at all seriously, its nothing but electricity nothing more,
All I need is a cluster and a speed sensor from an S2000 maybe but the cluster more then anything.
SOME TELL ME WHERE TO GET ONE AND I WILL FIGURE IT OUT!!!
would take me about a week I bet

LOL i hope your electronic Genius. you cant use a S2000 VSS. But you have to convert the analog to digital its not exactly that easy.
Speed Civic signal S2000 signal
10mph 46mps 290mps
20mph 83 mps 533 mps
30mph 109 mps 731 mps.
40mph 143 mps 1038 mps
So try to figure out that signal and keep it even so tht the speeds will be accurate.

Re: (JDMlyfestyle)
Who says I dont build a custom VSS out of the two?
I am pretty good with electronics not to mention I have some smart friends to help me out.
But hey all I need is the cluster and VSS so if anyone has one to DONATE or even sell me for cheap let me know asap!

Re: (nocturnaldragon)
I've figured out a way just now in my head, I wont share tho untill I try it myself because:
A: Im not sure it will work
B: Its my idea I want to try it first
C: I want a damned S2000 cluster

Ive had over a 100 hours of free time tied up in this. to try to figure it out. ive tried RSX, TSX, CRV Accord VSS, even the hybrid and all have failed. and you cannot combin 2 different vehicle speed sensors together. already tried that as well. only way is to figure out a controller to convert to the digital signal and keep it consistant and accurate
