Run them and find out. depends on driver, yr RX-7, condition of both vehicles, etc etc.

If its a 3rd gen RX-7 just a CRVtec isn't gonna cut it if the RX-7 is in good condition and the person can drive. But anything can happen.

There are hardly any 2nd gen RX-7's left on the streets. So, if your referring to the last generation we saw in the U.S. you should know that they only came one way.........twin turbo.

depends on how the b20/vtec is built. But if it's built correctly with around 200hp or so to the wheels, all else being equal, the 92-95 hybrid hatch will win.

That is if the rx7 is stock tt.

a ful;ly built b20vtec in an eg hatch will run on slicks a low 11.0 so see how much it will cost to build the rx7 and see what is more worth it i would stick with the eg it is more of a sleeper

this is not what is worth building. This was a basic, can x car beat Y car ?. He got a basic answer. Give us details on what year RX'7. Plus is the CRVtec boosted or not. I assumed not because he didn't indicate that. If it is boosted then what kind of boost, what kind of whp.

Too many ?'s not enough info. Like I said originally run em and find out.

most of the rx-7's running around that i have seen have been run into the ground. their owners have not taken care or the turbo or the rotary...

Yo ,

Stock for Stock , the RX-7 should win by about 1-2 cars ( depending on driver ).

Stock RX vs B20VTEC with mild port job and mill head :- the RX will have its *** handed to it

Now if by chance the RX is modded it should most proberly win , but the B20VTEC stands a chance because the RX may have traction problems !

just my .02 cents worth

I don't know anyhting about either because I havent' seen either. I right now have a 92 cx hatch with a gsr in it, Yet I'm selling my car adn buying another eg hatch and putting a b20 in it and then putting a vtec head on it.. B16 only. Not wasting my time trying to find a itr head and the gsr head with the stock intake manifold just doesn't flow right therefore b16 head. I would built the b20/vtec a little with just jun spec 3 cams i/h/e maybe springs and retainers. I have no idea about an rx-7's .........just that the kid down the street from me is buying one. I was just wondering an ABOUT and AROUND comparison between the two. The answers I got were great and I would appreiciate more if there are more out there. as for Apexi..ITR chill alittle man its only a message board(forum) no need to get all hyped up because i wasn't specific enough. The answers I got were what i was looking for........but thanks for makin that reply

I'm sorry but if you take an Rx-7 with as much done to it as done to an eg with a b20 vtec then the Rx-7 will whoop some Civic ***.

it all depends on the mods. if the B20 is fully built, yeah it will win. 3rd gen RX7 turbo will rape the EG on the highway though.
you gotta be more specific dude.

if your b20 makes 200hp 150lb torque thats good for low 13's on street tires if your good.

HXGUY is running 13.3 and makes around that power...

RX7's run 13's....and depending on how good u drive and how he drives it the outcome of the race.
