rust prevention
Hey guys might have found a good idea for rust prevention. My boss was telling me that he had a friend with an old early nineties pickup and it didn't have an ounce of rust on it. For those of you who don't know, half of the time in minnesota there is more salt than snow on the roads, so it's amazing to find anything that old that's not a rust bucket. What he did was every spring he jacked the truck up, then cleaned the underside and sprayed it with some kind of rustoleum spray. I don't know which spray he used but I think I might try it out. If I can spend a full afternoon every year and only have minimual rust I think it'd be worth it.
What do u think?

Re: (NOFX)
Yeah it will have been some kind of underseal he used, just effectively creates a barrier between the paint and the salt and crap you get on the roads during the winter, which stops it eating into the metal
very good idea for any daily driven car

You guys are probably right on that, I'm gonna start looking into what works best. When I install my turbo setup this summer I'm gonna upgrade to 2.5" exhaust and while that's off I think I might spray on some kind of undercoat.
