Default -running right?

ok guys...i have a 93 civic ex with a d15b non-vtec motor that i just installed..(z6 had a blown HG and this motor tranny combo was CHEAP..) the motor came from a SOL.

this is how its running:

Power is lacking terribly until 3.5k then it kicks in and actually feels like vtec..and it pulls pretty hard to 5.5k in first then it feels like its lacking fuel..it kinda stutters till i shift to second...second will go up to 6-6.5 without sputtering.. i ran a 16.7 in my Z6 and this new motor when you are winding it out actually feels just as powerful. bUT Only after 3.5 does it have ANY grunt to it....does that sound right for this d15b?
it shouldnt be stuttering that early in the rpms, right?

another thing..if its usefull info....the exhaust manifold is the one off the Z6..could that affect it?

i was thinking maybe fuel filter, o2 sensor for the sputtering..not really sure?? any other suggestions?

I run of off 24 kbps..so searching is difficult where im at..
