Running rich....and its getting on my nerves
I have a 1.5 D15 with erratic idle, missing, and the mods to the motor I have done are exhaust and plug wires with the NGK-R spark plugs for the stock motor.
I would really appreciate some help on this. I tried to replace my distributor earlier today with one from a D16Z6 but the patterns on the distributor don't match. I thought it might be the ignitor or ignition coil but how do I tell?
Thanks for your help, guys

did you try some stock Honda wires? the wired could be bad and jumping to the block i've seen this plenty of times... also how about the plugs are they gapped correctly? what color are the plugs
(white = lean , dark brown or black is rich... "cream" it's good) <------
how many miles are on your dissy? did you open it up to check it at all?
Check all of your grounding wires while your at it..

sounds like it definetely could be the ignition coil. If you wanna be obvious about it, just look for any archs while idling in rain or spray some (and by some i mean very little) water on coilpack. Or just take it off and look for any cracks in rubber or anything which looks like it could loose power. You can replace it or simply J.B. weld the hell out of it. The plastic weld works well imo but some people don't like it because it's not a true rubber boot around it, but hey, it's cheap and works. Also test your plug wires with an ohm-meter if the coil pack is ok. resistance should be above around 30k.
