running rich!!!
got a 94 civic ex d16z6, any way im running really rich. just replaced the o2 sensor, changed fuel filter, and reset the ecu but nada. what else is there to check or replace? any help appreciated

it sounds like youre ecu is malfunctioning you need to replace and see if that dose the trick. if not need to check injectors and see if damaged.

Stock ECU malfunction? That doesn't happen.

yeah its a stock p28 virgin, never been opened or messed with. I have a little black smoke on top of black spot on bumper with a bad smell of gas coming out the exhaust (sniffed the exhaust wile running). I've never replace the injectors, fuel pump, fuel regulator, tps, map, iacv. is there any thing else it could be? i put in some iridium's 3 months ago my friend gave me. would that do it?

Make sure your MAP sensor doenst have any dust/debris clogging its nipple, that would obstruct its reading ability, causing it to pour more fuel in.

my car was running rich code 45 and everything....turns out my plug wires were bad....replaced those then I got a code for the primary o2 sensor....replaced that now I have my fingers crossed...

good luck man i hope that fixes your problem, i replaced the map with one i had laying around. i don't see any black smoke but i can still smell gas alittle bit, what else could it be?

Keep in mind that gas mileage is largley affected by driving habits. Agressive driving behavior will suck up gas fast.
