Default Running engine without VTEC

I need to get my EG running asap, so I am think about getting D15B VTEC and dropping it in my dead EG. I am having trouble locating a P08 or P28 ECU (I am cheap), will it damage the engine in anyway if I run the D15B VTEC without hooking up the VTEC?

Nope. You'll have no problem at all.

You k now, you can chip your ECU to vtec and run a stock map for cheaper than a P28 will cost you
