Running a cracked exhaust manifold

Running a cracked exhaust manifold
Hey there;
Great site! You guys really helped me with my questions by just searching. I do have a question however.
I was troubleshooting a CEL on my 99 LX. I got a code 41 which I believe is a bad O2 sensor. I was about to replace the sensor and I noticed a crack through the middle of the manifold. I know this is common, I was just curious if it would be dangerous to the engine or anything else if I run it with the crack for 3 - 4 weeks until I can get a replacement manifold.
Thanks,
Hunter819

Re: Running a cracked exhaust manifold (hunter819)
I can't see any problems with it other than it could cause your valves to cool too fast and it could cause them to warp, thus causing you to replace them.
If the crack is small and barely noticeble I wouldn't worry about it right away, however I would replace it. Is this an OEM or aftermarket header? If it's OEM and you're wanting to stay OEM I can sell you a OEM header for cheap.
How big is this crack?

Thanks for the quick replies!
It is an OEM manifold. I'd like to stay stock for the time being. My LX is a daily driver and I put about 300 to 350 miles a week on it. I use it for work to travel around my county.
JDM, what are you asking for your OEM manifold and what part of the US are you in?
