Runing d16y7 instead of d16y8?
So i'm having the worst luck finding a d16y8 near me that is reliable so I may get a d16y7 longblock / complete swap for cheap with low miles on it. I just need my car running.
My question is this. I have a 97 Del Sol Si (sohc vtec) and the motor d16y7 (non-vtec) which ecu should i run the sohc vtec or the non-vtec? If i run the d16y7 ecu do i need to repin the plugs at all (which i really don't want to do).
I'm about to look for pinouts right now but figure i'd ask.
