rubbing noise at idle
I was sitting in my car today during lunch and i noticed that when in neutral with the clutch released there was like a rubbing or scraping noise, but when i push the clutch in it goes away, anyone know what this could be?

Re: rubbing noise at idle (sheBangZ)
i'd check the throwout bearing first. I had the same problem with my car and it actually ended up being the input shaft bearings in the tranny. Check the throwout bearing first though.

I had the same problem with my d series too, went to put a new clutch kit in and i also realized it was the input shaft bearing in the tranny too.
