rubbing/friction noise when moving forward
sup guys
I posted earlier in the week that I had some oil seepage problems where the head meets the block, near the tranny...
now I have this other noise. It happens when I move the car forward and in gear. Dosen't happen when I am in reverse and is barely noticeable if I just rev up the motor in neutral. For instance, when I go from a stop light, I put it in first, the let go of the clutch while pressing the gas, it makes the noise. It also happens when I hold the clutch halfway out while holding it at 2-3k rpms going at no speed at all. what can this noise be? It happend after I did an oil change.
Car drives fine, shifts fine, etc. Just that stupid *** noise when I move forward. Tranny fluid is new. Honda MTF. Also, im not talking about the clutch squeeking noise. Please dont get this confused w/ that. I get that too, here and there But this is something else. I'm going to have a friend help me later today to help pin point the noise while I rev it with the clutch 1/2 way out.
Car is a Civic Si w/ jdm b16.
Any inputs guys? late.

Re: rubbing/friction noise when moving forward (THE PLAYER)
Noise sounds like a pilot or throwout bearing on the clutch...
mine does it...it sounds like a whining or singing noise.
Damn ACT and their crappy bearings.

Re: rubbing/friction noise when moving forward (viet)
yea i gotta ACT clutch w/ stock flywheel.
i fucked up the A2 so I swapped out the long block. when I put the tranny in we just eyeballed it in. It slid right on. Hmmmm...
so how can this be fixed? new clutch/flywheel? bearings? That's what it probably is...
other ideas guys?
