Re: rubber pices in wheel well (95 vtec)
the rubber pieces do help hold dirt up along the inner wheel well but they also prevent the paint from being chipped and rust starting that way. The best thing to do is take them off clean any dirt/ grime from the wheel well lip and reinstall them. even with them off all the time you have to clean the grime off and keep it clean.

SAND GRIME ETC COLLECT BETWEEN THE SEAL AND THE QTR LIP/WHEELHOUSE MAKE A HABIT OF CLEANING THIS AREA WHEN YOU WASH YOUR CAR ,I WORK AT A BODYSHOP SO I SEE THE DAMAGE THAT THIS CAUSES OFTEN,IF YOU PULL THE SEAL,CLEAN,AND REINSTALL ON A REGULAR BASIS IT HELPS LIKE ANOTHER POSTER SAID GOOD LUCK
