Default Rubber Injector Insulator on IM?

I just have a couple of questions:

1) Are B & D series injector insulators the same? (they sit inside grove of the intake manifold)

2) What would happen if I did not use them?

3) Would the injectors get too hot?

The reason why I asked is become I just got done doing a Skunk2 IM install on my gsr.
(see i've searched already)

If I use the rubber injector insulator, the injector does not sit deep at all...Not like this picture below me. The only way for mine to look like that picture is to competely remove the rubber insulators.

yes d and b series insulators are the same, i just used my old d16z6 ones for my b16a2 IM, if you don't use them you will have a fuel leak in your manifold, they should fit alright with the insulators, do you have a pic that shows how they sit in your IM

Default Re: Rubber Injector Insulator on IM?

just going back to edit thread....

Solution:
I found out you just have to really press hard for the injectors to seat deep into the rubber seals.
