it hangs to low on my coupe because the sucker is huge. and they had to modify and do some welding to make it fit the stock catback. other wise it's pretty neat.
on hatches i think it might stick out too much.

Here's my 03 rsx-s muffler
The sucker was huge, but my muffler shop managed... rerouted the tip too.
As far as sound goes... its quiet on the idle, loud and deep on full throttle.

if you end up deciding to go aftermarket, i'd recommend either a A'pexi World Sport or GReddy SP2. I have an SP2 on my hatch with full 2.5" piping and a resonator in place of the cat and it sounds very good. Quiet cruising and at idle, but it comes alive up top.

Re: (EK_B)
The piping on mine was redone axleback by a mufflershop.
I had the originial greddy sp and to me, it was the quietest and best sounding aftermarket system out there... especially with my 24 in. resonator.
Maybe it's the mid 20's talking, but in the end, it was still louder than what I wanted.
To be honest, the butt dyno tells me that I lost power in the top end and gained more torque in the low to midrange. But nowadays, I don't really rev that high anyway.

Re: (yoej8)
FYI
the 05-06 DC5 type-s exhaust is identical to the DC5R axleback except a valve that opens and closes or something like that, but the diameter is bigger and more free flowing than the older rsx axlebacks

Yes, I saw a post on here with a cut open US one and the guts of the Japanese one.

werd. If you can get your hands on that dc5R, get that... That valve being referred to opens for better flow ie top end revs and closes for lower end backpressure.
