rpms sticking after pressing gas pedal.
i did search and couldn't find anything.
Car: 98 Honda Civic dx. jdm b20 swap. running tuned pr4.
ok heres whats happening. when i crank the car it idles fine. when i press the gas pedal and then come to a stop my car is idles at 1500rpms. now, if i put my foot behind my gas pedal and pull it foward. the car goes back down to 700rpms.
the car still has the original throttle cable. i've tried spray the cable to lube it up. no change. ive tried different things and with no luck. any ideas on how to fix this?
any help/tips will be greatly appreciated.

Re: rpms sticking after pressing gas pedal. (x0!)
try lubing the throttle body linkage and springs first, then crawl up under the dash on the floor and lube the gas pedlal pivot points, lubing the cable itself requires a syringe type lube squirter that will get it all the way through, but as it has a teflon liner it should be lubed with liwuid teflon also. If you used wd40 etc you can actually create more friction. If you know how to use a dc voltage meter check your throttle position sensor (TPS) it should read about 0.44vdc at one end and 5.00v at the other and should be stable and linear, if it's noisey, and usually can be at the idle point, it may be the cause of your problem though I think a new cable is probably the best bet.
