RPM stuck in 92 EG SI
I was slowing reving up my engine liek very slowly and i got off the gas pedal and the gas pedal came back out but for sum reason the rpm stayed at 5000 rpm's, but the gas pedal was not stuck so i dunno whats wrong with it.....so i turned the car off and on 2 times and it went away??????what is wrong with it? btw its a 92 Eg SI

ok so the idle doesnt surge. hmm...check all the vacuum lines like spade said and squirt some wd40 on the plate in the throttle body...try that

anything wrong with the car now?
you probably sucked something in, keeping the t/b open and keeping it steady 5000 rpms, and after your 2 starts, it prolly got sucked in.
hopefully nothings wrong with your car now.
