RPM low at idle WHY? Help please!
jus changed my megan headers, magnaflow cat back, a new aftermarket oem obx converter now the idles at like 500 rpm when stopped at a light or lower and from time to time it almost dies the battery light flashes on then off but the car doesnt completely die. what can be the problem?

carbon build up in the throttle body.... try turning the idle bypass screw about 3/4 turn to the left and youll be fine!!!

theres a pretty big flat head screw on the tb. You just need to adjust in cause of carbon build up. It usually faces the direction of the tb and location varies.

found it did it improved a little when i driving it for about 5 mins the rpm stays at 1000 then as the motor gets hotter when i come to a complete stop its goes back down to 500 rpm and starts spundering again like before?

ignition timing advanced ????? any vacuum leaks????? if not take the iacv off and see if the screen is clogged with carbon aswell!!!

check for leaks man. make sure everything is on there tight. especially the header and cat. i would suggest taking your tb off and cleaning it out with some brake cleaner.

a oil catch can catches the blow-by that runs back into your intake manifold
blow by looks alot like gasoline and can gunk up your engine
and it also relieves pressure off the crank

tried cleaning the idle speed and the throttle body with berryman b12 throttle body clean improved a little but still when the motor heats rpm idles drop to about 200-300 and sometimes the battery will flash on then off. what else can be the problem and what else can i do?
