okay so i have a 1994 civic ex and for about the past week,

ill start my car, it will be in neutral and the needle on the rpm meeter will bounce back and fourth from about 0-3k for about five minutes maybe even longer.

this only happens about twice a week, one time it was in the morning and the other time it was in the afternoon so it cant be because of the "cold" because I live in FL.

one of my friends said the timing was off?



just thought its worth a try to ask on here.

low coolant, im pretty sure tp sensors dont go out, they either work or not, so that could be a problem, if in fact they do just go out over time. but mine did this and i put some coolant in it and it was fine
