Default royal prurple

How many quarts of fluid does it take for a b16 tranny? And are you suppose to mix half and half of honda mtf with royal purple or i can straight just use royal purple only?

Run just the Honda MTF. You dont need the royal purple. What's the point?

IIRC, Honda MTF is Idemitsu synthetic. I know it's def. Idemitsu oil...but I'm also almost positive it's synthetic Idemitsu.

It also has a friction modifier allready in there if you get the Type 2 MTF.

It's a night and day from the old Honda MTF.

2.4qts.

the point of purple royal is that it help your engine under high stress...so if you do a lot of racing or highway driving then its the best even if you dont it doesnt kill to use them...

No it doesn't. If it did, you over filled it. It's 2.4 qts.

What's your reasoning for royal purple being a better choice?

BTW, engine oil capacity, is more than 4 qts. It's around 4.5 or so including the filter.

there is a reason its called transmission oil and motor oil. There are additives that the two don't share for obvious reasons.
