Rotor "rubs" on back left only when turning.. wtf!!
Just got my car back together, all new brakes and bushings in the rear end of both sides, and I went for a shake down run and notice that I get a rotor rbbing noise when going around a turn, at any speed, when the brakes arent applied, and the noise instantly goes away when I straighten out.
Its only coming from the back left but I see now signs of wear and everything is tight
What do you guys think it could be??

dont know how I didnt think of this, but my car doesnt have a backing plate on the rear brakes. I pulled the wheel off just now with the intention of checking the clearance, but there was no plate lol
I took off the caliper and rotor, inspected the pads, everything looked good so I put it all back together.
Took it for a drive and the noise is still present only when turning....
What could it be that would only rub when turning!!

How is your rear suspenion? Did you put everything back on right? And is it happening when u turn left and right or jus one way? Is it happening on both wheels?

only the back left wheel, happens turning both ways.
Everything looks assembled perfectly, all bolts have been checked twice now for tightness

In your first message you said you see signs of wear? Where do u see it on the rotors? If so I would return the brakes could be faulty

Well its a 92 Si, z6 engine. Wouldnt say that is pertenent information though
I never said I seen signs of wear, I said I did not, most likely because I only have 50 miles on the car since I rebuild it
What would cause this noise

20 year old car, 8 owners, someone removed them I guess. Doesnt bother me.
How would I replicate the noise possibly while on jackstands? I really need to figure out where this noise is coming from

Not having a splash guard could cause the rubbing?? Id still like to know whats rubbing.
Now that I no its supposed to have splash guards maybe I could source them
How do I figure out whats rubbing ONLY while taking turns though?
I took the calipers and rotors off again today, removed inspected the pads, but it all back together and same deal. Only the back left wheel

It feels like you're not telling us something I swear.
Your entire suspension and wheel/tire setup. List it. How low are you dropped?
Are you sure there is NO dust shield or are they just trimmed back where you might mistake them for missing?

Definetely no dust shield present. Im running ground control coilovers and tokiko blue shocks, dropped about 2".
I forget the name of my wheel but its a Konig 15 X 8 with Falken Ziex 195/50/15 tires, wheels were balanced a week ago

How do you know it's not the wheel/tire scraping with that ridiculous offset wheel/tire combo? BTW Blues are OEM replacement shocks. Unsuitable for dropping that low.
Tucking tire? I'm guessing your car looks like this.
And you're probably running a soft spring rate as well.
I think THAT'S your problem.
