Rotor & Brake Area (Image)
Okay, so yesterday May 6 2014...
I drive about 60 miles a Day, from San Francisco to Pittsburg (California)
Good gas mileage of course, then it started squeaking. It would go away sometimes then all of a suden it got worse and was squeeking all the way home. I can tell its from the Front Passenger Side Wheel, It seems like when it hits a point in the Roll, it hits a squeek.
Brakes? I don't know exactly because when I press on my brakes nothing changes, as long as it hits that mark in a roll, it'll keep squeeking. though if I hit a certain point in my brake it'll stop.
So, went to a friends shop, luckily they are always overstocked with duralast parts so she gave me, Duralast Gold Ceramic Brake Pads and Brand new Rotors.
Removed the wheel, checked the rotor and it seemed pretty good and smooth still, then I noticed the middle is crooked as if it hit something...
Normal? Cause of the Squeek? Bearings? Axle? I am unsure because this is my daily driven car...
Information about car:
EJ6, 1997, Ek4(Not Really)
1997 Honda Civic Hatchback 3 DR.

looks semi normal to me. you probably are at the end of your pad life from the looks of it. the wear indicator is probably squealing on the rotor.

the middle thing is the end of your axle, which has nothing to do with your brakes.
the rear problem could be a wheel bearing. hard to say with no info.

It would be helpful to the next person that has this problem, stumbles across this post and wonders how you fixed it, to explain how you fixed it.

Upon having the problem:
Squeeking noise from the Passenger Side Wheel, I knew removing the wheel, and inspecting the Rotor & Brake Pads were the best option to go, posting it on Honda-tech because I did not understand the differences between a good Rotor and a bad one. I did find something ordinary in my inspection which was the End of the Axle, which didn't seem normal, (Being all bent and cracked). But upon posting on Honda-Tech, many have informed me that it was "Normal", so the next step was just replacing the Rotor and Brake Pads and that completely changed the situation. "Indicator on Brake Pad was hitting the Rotor which was the cause of the Noise".Many thanks to the People I have quoted.
After that problem was resolved I then noticed my rear driver side wheel was making some type of noise as if it was hitting something attached to the car, Like the bumper, or a bag stuck under.
Lifted the car, released the Hand Brake and rolled it, looking in every corner to see if it was hitting something while it rolled. Wasn't any of that, inspected clearance and everything. So I rolled it and noticed it wasn't rolling straight, as if it was like an Untrued bicycle wheel, It wobbles while rotating. After posting about it on Honda Tech, I then replaced the Bearings. Though I am just a Nurse, and not close to a Mechanic, I have learned everything on Honda-Tech Forums and has saved me that "Labor Fees"
What I learned from all of this is, Even though something may seem abnormal, it can be actually normal. Once I hear that noise again, that'll let me know when to change it. And lastly, Honda-Tech is full of so much Love, not once I have received a "Noobie" type comment which i've received many times in other, forums/websites.
THANK YOU COMMUNITY OF HONDA TECH, GLAD I MADE AN ACCOUNT A WHILE AGO.
