Re: rota? (Type-X)
the lightest rota is the slipstream
www.rotawheels.com and look under updates.
the 15" weighs a little under 12 lbs. and costs around $480 for a set of 4
the "16 weighs around 13.5 lbs. i believe and costs around $550 for a set of 4

Re: rota? (Type-X)
If you are worried about traction and acceleration, get 15s, then get good tires for the traction issue. 15s will help accelerate faster, also dont neglect your suspension.

How did you get 47 posts here and still not see/hear about rota?
...And as far as "best traction" goes, why don't any FF drag racers or auto-xers use 17'' wheels if they're so bad-***?
17'' wheels are for bling bling bragging rights and nothing more on a Honda.

Re: rota? (Type-X)
there is no such thing as the slipstream. and i want 17's best traction for a civic
Just stick with some 15s unless the traction you want is so your car dosent slip when its at the shows yO!

The Sub Zero comes in 17'' if you absolutely must have the bling factor on your car.

Re: rota? (JDMFreak)
well see ive read quite a few civic books and they all say that 17's r the best for traction, and im not even close to trying to make them bling bling, looks are on the last of my list, and if i wanted to roll on dubs, i would get like 20s or 22's or something stupid like that. and i know not to forget suspension, im already in the research process on where to find the best deals, now i was going to get the axis vpd wheels, but they r ******* expensive. and yes ive seen posts on rota wheels b4, but just couldt remember at the moment, when i was in the process of fitting it into my budget, and since rota duznt have prices i thought i would ask here... and im sticking with either 16/17s most like 16 actually... so that way it is right between since everybody here says 15s and people who research this **** for a living say 17's so most likely 16's thats what i had orginally planned but then started reading all this **** on 17's being better, espcially in tests. so ya know. now as for tires, i was thinking of either BF, Nitto, Yoko, and Toyo. now ive heard alot of people with problems from each tire. so im still debating. but as for wheels i might just get the slipstreams, how much do they cost? for a set.?black, 16's?

Re: rota? (Type-X)
15"
lighter.
cheaper.
more tire choices.
look better IMO.
check out http://www.machii.net and then email or call Walee there, he will hook you up if you are nice and mention honda-tech.com
I run 15" rota circuit 8 with V700 (also ran AO32R) and 15" rota slipstream with Azenis.
no complaints, plus they just barely fit over the ITR size front brakes I got on my civic hatch... life is good.
plan wisely young man, 15" is the way to go if you want top performance.
