Rollcage in a daily driver concerns
I already searched for "rollcage" and it didn't show any topics that had any info. If someone has better search tips, please post them.
I was curious about rollcages and daily drivers. I'd like a cage because I autox often and want to start roadracing. Plus I like the extra piece of mind for driving down the highway. And then the added chassis stiffness.
Are there any companies that make cages suitable for daily driving? I don't want any bars that come close to my head or force me to wear a helmet and I'd like to still be able to haul the occasional passengers in my backseat safely.
I own a 93 EX Coupe so if someone can make a recommendation, I'd appreciate it

i use to daily a autopower 4 point with no problems but a little bit of road noise. I would recommend a kirkroll bar though. The kirk rollbar mount in better locations then the autopower.

Ooops. I guess I used the wrong term. I don't mean a full "cage".
I also found a good rollbar in a 01 coupe owned by Fiber Images in a Nopi magazine I got a couple months ago. The bad thing is, the article doesn't mention what brand it is. The back bar goes in the back window so the rear seat can still be used. I wish my scanner would work so I could show you what I'm talking about.
Does anybody know about this Fiber Images civic?

its probably the kirk rollbar, its one of the few rollbars where you can keep your rear seat, or its a custom.

I just got a full 6-point cage in my 2k civic, daily driver. I didn't get the back seat option but it is available. As far as convienience and safety? I rolled my last civic at 110 mph. Convienience went out the window and safety took it's place. It's not very convienent sitting in the hospital for 2 months. Anyway, i got the cage from http://www.amestripbars.com Does this look like what you might want? http://www.amestripbars.com/im...s.jpg $185
