Machiii has them. On sale. Cusco
To anser the first question, you want a Roll Bar that wont work?? They arent cheap, why?? why not just get a functional cage, so that you can race at the track.

Re: roll bar/cage question... (TODAeg6)
no i was wondering why they dont work... is it simply that they will collapse if you actually roll your car because they are made of cheap metal? I dont want a full roll cage, cauze this is my daily driver... but A) yes i think they look cool, but B) i want it to actually do its job if the worst happens.

Re: roll bar/cage question... (shorty)
just a FYI. NHRA sanctions most tracks. if you put a bar in and it isnt up to the NHRA rule book they will fail you at tech. S&W Race Cars has a 6 point kit. 6 points are the minimum for any car going 11's or lower till you get to the 9's then the chassis has to be certified. my oppinion is that if you arent needing one, why deal with the extra weight? oh and i hate monkey bars. i hate everything that has a look to it. i hate the damn front mount look intercooler even more. but thats my rant. ill now eat my cookies and milk.

rofl the front mount "intercooler" intakes... rorofforofl hahha, i feel really bad now that you put my lil idea in the same sentance with that. Yea the extra weight would suck.. but this is my daily driver, and im only 17 wouldnt mind the lil extra protection, my car wont be in the 11's, but are you saying that if i go run my car just once with a bar that doesnt meet the NHRA rules or whatever they wont even let me run? I want to find a functional roll bar, but somthing that wont restrict aka a full full cage where i have to hop over a bar to get in my car

anyone have any pics of a FUNCTIONAL one in a hb?</TD></TR></TABLE> the non-functional rollbars, ie. MonkeyBarz (y0!) are designed without triangulation and without proper strength tubing. They are typically for show cars and are designed with bends to follow dashes and seats, but the bends are locations that the rollbar will bend or break in an impact or loading.
Functional rollbars and cages are from Cusco, Autopower, Spoon, Kirk or even custom cage fabricators... and will have to meet very specific criteria in design and materials to meet the regulations required by most race series/organizations.
here is a pic of my Autopowwer race rollbar with horizontal harness bar-
Here is a pic of a crappy MonkeyBarz setup y0!-
and another **** cage/bar-

I hope you mean the "real" roll bars look tite
I just don't think the non-functional bars would be a good idea in a crash event. I'd only trust a true roll bar or cage setup. It would suck to get hit in the head with a 50lb steel bar in an accident becasue it is only attached at a few points and is totally absent of any structural support.

-nah movement is fine. I can slide my front seats back as far as stock sliders provide. (I mounted my sparcos right onto the stock sliders)
-you cannot recline very far is you run a rollbar like mine, but they are not made for people who like to lowride with the mad ReCLinEr StYleZ y0!
-people who run a full 6 pt cage like autopower or kirk have much less room to get in and out because of the bar running alongside the door that makes your feet harder to get in and out of the car, but I am sure they think it is well worth the effort and the extra protection from a 6pt cage over a 4 pt rollbar is superb.
rollbars like mine are not too expensive either, yet they render the rear seats useless.
you can get a rollbar like mine yet with a removable diagonal piece so on the street you can have passengers in the rear seats, yet there are still the side supports that run diagonal to the rear wheel-wells and the rear passengers might hit these in an accident, not cool.
