Default Rods/Piston

Ok now i see all the threads about piston size and deck height on here but none seem to answer what i'm looking for:

My setup:
D15b7 w/Si tranny

i'm looking to do add a Y8 head on it and make it stronger now i was told :That i can use a 86-89 integra Ls Rod w/ bearings and Piston but would have to small bore end the rod and mechine by resizing the bushing and bore to accept the smaller pin of the civic engine. Also on the big end of the rod needs to be lathed to the civic's specs thickness and it should support about 300hp.
The bore is nearly idenical and the larger dome design of the integra piston is worth 3/4 of a point of compression.

Now i just asking if this setup is true i can go ahead with my build and not F**k up my motor ?

why don't you skip the trouble of going to a machine shop and just but some aftermarket rods? and vitara pistons should be fine for that aswell and they're cheap.

unless you work in a machine shop or have access to one for free its pretty much a waste of time and money. ls rods weren't meant to handle 200+hp safely. think about it.

anything's doable but ls rods won't be able to handle that power. so if you were to go ahead and do this your pistons and rods would melt/shatter/go boom and you'll also be wasting money that you could be putting into getting some forged rods and other pistons.
