how can you tell the difference between rods? like b16 gsr ctr itr Ls?

Check near the bolt holes. Length is different too.

see that enormous p72 stamp in the middle of the rod? that's where it is located. those are GSR BTW

those aren't mine i just used them for reference. but yes, yes looks like things got a little hot when they were pressed out
