You could be right. It's been a while since I read the article. I'll have to take a look at it.
EDIT: Nope, the guy from Endyn who was interviewed in the article says it was Formula cars.
It could easily be both.

of course OEM is better but Earl once told me that ACL is quality bearing and he swears by it.
I would say use ACL bearings and spec out the clearance with a plastigage and the ones that falls out of specs, order from OEM Honda. My 2 cents. Thats what i did and its been running strong for 2 years now.
