Default ROADMING IDLE..IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX,TRIED EVERYTHING.

i have a 93 4dr civic with a 00sir engine(not jdm). i have no fast idle(which seems to be normal). i changed my iac(still happens),check all my lines about 5 times, checked the pcv, burped my coolant twice, brought it to two garages the people still remain clueless.

when i start the car it stays at 2200RPM,then after 5seconds or so it starts to bounce around from 1100-1900RPM.
someone help...............

Have you checked the throttle plate itself. Normally if the idle screw has no effect on the adjustment of the idle at all, the t-body plate is held open a little to much. There is another ajustment screw for the plate stop, that may be adjusted wrong.

The simple fact of lacking the Fast Idle Valve will not in itself cause a faulty idle, because neither my B18C5 nor my wife's old B16A2 had one and they idled perfect.

Have you tried swapping ECUs just for giggles?

I know my car doesn't idle as well as it used to since switching from a Kenji P28 to an Uberdata map.

Have you set your base idle. If not here is the procedure:

1. Warm up the car.
2. Disconnect the IACV.
3. Set the idle, using the idle speed screw (top left of the throttle body viewed from the passenger side of the engine bay), to 500-600 RPM (slow). Reconnect the IACV and then shut it down.'

When you restart the car it should have a stable idle.

i know this might sound crazy, but check your throttle cable. the begin of the week my (B16A) motor had a similar prbolem. would drive fine when i would stop the motor would stay a 1500-2000 rpms. weird, but my cable needed some adjusting, after i adjusted the cable the problem was solved.

just my 2 cents, doesnt hurts to try!
