Default Rim Wheel Assist

Ready to swap out my steel wheel 13s" on my hatch. Any suggests? I was also told by the guy at sears I would need spacers for 15s to fit. I thought 15s were about the biggest size you could go up to w/o having to do any modifications. Also 195/50/15s or 205/50/15s? Thanks. Trying to get them ordered soon.

I'm deciding on the Motegi MR7s or RT5s in chrome which are 15x6.5. With a 1" drop in the front and 1 1/2" drop in the back.

You shouldn't need spacers to put 15" on, unless the rims are quite wide and have a large positive offset. Which I dought they will but deffinately make sure. And if you do put spacers on, make sure you have proper thread engagement on the studs. If you don't, then swap your studs with extended ones.

As for which tire to go with, I think the 205 tire would be good for a 6.5" wide rim.

For the chrome rims and blue lug nuts maybe, but he did have some tech related questions in his post.

I wonder why they thought you need spacer for 15's. I have 16x7's and never ever rub (on 205-40-16), plus my car is really low. Just sounds like that guy didn't know his stuff.

BTW, what year/model do you have (not that it should makes a difference)?

I don't know why, you are full member, you should be able to. Maybe you were still a trial member when you tried.

It's not just the rim diameter and width. Offset plays a big roll in if it will rub or not.

17's fit fine and I have heard that 18's should even fit fine as well. I know that some companies are even coming out with 20's for Civics as well, though I don't know if they require any mods, as I am sure that they probably do. Whoever you talked to didn't know what they were talking about. And he is right, trial users cannot post in many of the forums that honda-tech has to offer.

True, but he's not a trial user anymore. He's actually been a member for longer than you, he just hasn't posted anything until now.
