Rim/tire question

What is the widest rim/tire combo, I can fit on a 98 civic. I am looking to purchase a set of autocross wheels.

I wouldn't go over a 7" wide wheel and a 215 tire.

I would probably go for some 15x7 with 205/50R15's.

Depends on the tire mainly. But 215's are pretty damn wide and you might have rubbing problems.
