Oh well you obviously need to add some more windshield wiper fluid and tighten up your tailight bolts. How the hell are we supposed to help you when that is all you tell us? Car? Tranny? Gears? Engine? Mods?

You should stop driving so hard on ice...take it slow until you get back onto pavement.

You also need to change your muffler bearings.

Yo enough of the b/s I'm been working on honda's for years. Also I'm a airplane mech by day so why all the stupid relays. It's a 92 lx with a 94 gsr eng and a stock y80 tranny. By the way it's a b18c2.

Congradulations, your car will run shittier 1/4 mile times than an identical car with better, stickier tires.

What psi are you running in those Nittos? Are they the rock-hard Nittos with a 300+treadwear?

I'm sorry if I'm coming off as being a jerk, but spinning tires isn't something to brag about.

I have Falken Azenis on my car and even though I'm putting down probably 30 more whp than your set-up my tires don't spin like crazy in first nor do they boil in second gear even when I shift as quickly as possible at 9000rpm.

It's better to have tires that stick my friend.

I understand your frustration with the flames you're getting, but please save yourself the oncoming worse flames by trying to earn "street credibility" in one post by saying you've been working on Hondas "for years" and that you're an airplane tech.

I've been into Hondas all my life - no ****. I own 2 hybrid hatches and I've personally done 5 engine swaps on my back in my home garage. I also work at Georgia's largest independant Honda and Acura repair shop that has done over 50 swaps in the past 2 years since I've been there. I completely tore down and rebuilt a 1992 Civic CX hatch with all Integra sus, brakes, seats, Type R full swap, etc. so if you're trying to trade shots with the entire MB, I'm sorry but you're outnumbered and outpowered.

I used up my five posts for the day. So I'm using my roommates id. OK the question is what can I do to hook up better. I will not even race on the street because i look like a none driving a#$. I think i have nitto 450 or something. I'm running 35 psi in all.

Sorry a forgot to ask a guestion. My girl keeps bugging me to come eat. But she can not cook. So I trying to hold out.

yikes! i bet my yoko yk420's has more grip than those tires. not bagging, just letting you knkow that those tires bite in terms of grip.

less psi would be a good idea too.

the flames are un called for. All I trying to say is im not new to honda's. I done 2 swaps also. I not comparing myself to anyone. I learn all kinds of things everyday for honda tech. I love that people are willing to share info. I get pissed when people make stupid mech jokes when I work on airplanes day in and day out. Believe me I would rather work on a honda, any day.

it really isn't a question about driving. In his LX, he has more weight behind him, which is making him lose weight off the front and losing grip. You guys can seriously be annoying....

What kind of suspension do you have?? I had those tires and didn't think they were too bad, but with 35psi, you have too much in there for any grip. Try lowering front pressure to 20-22, stiffen rear suspension if you even have any. List your suspension mods...

And I said that about driving, since I assume he's cruising in 1st, and THEN goes into vtec. Or are you dropping the clutch??? Do you have grip until vtec??

All I have for suspension mods is coil-overs and a rear lower strut bar. The car is about 1 in higher in the back then front. As for the spinning I will be rolling about 5 or 10 mph and punch it and once vtec hits the tires start spinning. The problem has become a lot worse since it's gotten colder. My track times have gone down along with the temp. I have a act clucth and there is almost no feathering to by done. Well thanks for all the help.

Run better tires and get some springs/shocks on there. Too much weight transfer with stock suspension.

The LX is actually pretty light for what it is, and a lot of the weight is in the rear. What kind of coilovers? Either way, get some better shocks. And in colder weather, as you have noticed, there's going to be a drastic decrease in grip with the cold rubber and cold pavement contact.
