Just get some good stable rims. Nothing too big. Maybe 14 or 15 inches.

i would get 16. they will fit a decent size brake kit, and they arn't that heavy. there are also more tire options for 16.

HUH?? more tire options for 16??? LOL.

Go 15 at the most. depeding on the class and the rules I would use 13x8.
But 15x7 is a great all around size.

You must be looking in the wrong place.

too big. Id get a 15" rim. Roger Foo used a 15" rim on his WorldChallenge honda civic hatchback. Rim is lighter and tires are cheaper - thats the facts.

I'd go with 15s. I'm seriously considering ditching my 16s and going down to some 15s simply because of the better tire selection.

Well, that is what the Moogen guys in Japan put on all their cars...that should say SOMEthing about how good they are. They run the pole position 1's I think???

I race with stock Si rims with Falken Azenis (mostly auto-x and a little track time here and there). Perhaps a good rule of thumb: get the smallest size wheel that will fit over your brakes.
