Right size fuel injectors?
I currently have 440cc fuel injectors that I got off craigslist brand new for $155. I'm not sure if these fuel injectors are too small for what I plan to run. I'm curious to know what size I should be running? I'd like to run ten pounds on the street and when I go to the dragstrip turn the boost up +20lbs. If these injectors are too small what size should I be running? 580's? 660's?
So heres my build. b16a2 block sleeved b16A crank, pauter rods, cp 9:5:1 pistons, GSR head(from what I understand square combustion chambers are better for turbo) ported polished, Rev valves crower springs + retainers, I was orignally shooting for 600hp but now I'm thinking somewhere between 400-450 on a gt3076r turbo kit. I haven't got a turbo kit yet but that's what I want.

take your desired HP and multiply it by 1.5 and that's the size injectors you need (go bigger if uncertain) this is not the exact calculation but it will get you in the neighborhood of the right injectors. 440's will only get you up to about 250-300HP range if you are lucky. You don't want to push the injectors past the level they are designed to support.

Thanks man, so I need to get something in the neighborhood of 720cc Hopefully when the time comes and I get a shop to install the built motor/tune it, they will be able to give me some guidance. But that sounds more like a number I should be running.
Looks like I'll have some injectors to sell soon.

Good luck, boost is a long hard road but God is it worth it when you do a burnout by accident on the highway at about 55 or 60 hehehe....

Yes 720cc + is what you will need. Im running basically same setup except full GSR. Last season I pushed 660whp at 22psi on race gas and I still didn't max my 750cc's out and that was on a pretty conservative tune considering I could have put down 30psi. but for the norm I run 15psi on pump gas with 750's and I have absoubtly no problem and that puts me around the 400+whp range.

Man U FTW
For 450whp, you're going to want at least 880cc injectors; however, you may as well go with a set of 1000cc's right off the bat. They'll idle just fine and give you more than enough leeway to grow in the future.
