Default ricey?

so what exactly is ricey nowadays?? JDM is getting pretty ricey since companies like APC are making fake JDM ****. and whats the point of JDM anyway. i mean yea lots of JDM parts look better and function better but its just a wannabe stock car from japan. everyones always like, " oh thats ricey, and yeah, thats ricey". the only thing thats ricey is rice. and rice is good anyways. how long with this JDM craze last. i remember when bodykits and all that other "ricey" **** was the craze. there will always be trends and therefore trend followers. so would u guys flame a civic with a real bomex kit? its a kit so its ricey, but its bomex so its JDM right? anyway, just wanted to see what anyone else has to say on the topic

for me, rice isn't what is popular at the time. rice is a car with non-functional parts that hinder performance and look tacky, while trying to make a car look faster than it actually is. i don't see how carbon fiber, engine swaps, and rota wheels can ever be considered rice. all of those are functional, making the car faster, which is the exact opposite of rice.

so if my fast blinking bulbs weight less than my OEM ones, they are okay? lol. zipties weigh less than bolts on the track.

different people like different things. if u want to put a bodykit on ur car, GO AHEAD, ****, it's UR car. if u don't want to make ur car a 9 sec civic and get 6mpg, then i say don't! you are going to be driving ur car, not them. do what u want to ur car, we're not going to be seeing it everyday and riding in it like you.

intakes can increase hp and help out performance, so how can that be ricey?? I here people all the time talking about certain wheels being ricey and intakes being ricey.

To me, this thread is gay BTW, rice is what you make of it. Typically, it's style over performance. Such as JDM rice, blah blah. Whatever, who cares. What YOU think doesn';t belong on a given car is rice to YOU.

well ricey to me is a person with a civic who has a Tach in his car chooses to put a big Monster 10" sucker with a big shift light and has the motor bone stock.

I would just tell him that i looks goofy but not flame him out cause its his car and his dream that he wants to put in it we all have something different in our minds ain't none of us the same so we have diffrent likes and dislikes.

JDM USDM .....as long as it works and takes me from point A to point B its worth it

These threads are ricey. There's one of 'em every couple of days.

Bottom line is this:

—Performance will always be cool.
—Clean cars will always be cool.

Follow that and you yourself just might be cool one day .
