i'm guessing your running a pretty much stock y8. You basically wasted money on i/h/e. Dont know why your running a stage 2 clutch....anyways back to the your question. The reason for your grinding is your synchro's are wearing down. Your synchros wear down by miss shifting too much and not pressing the clutch all the way through shifts. What to do??? At the moment by some GM synchromesh tranny oil and see what that does. If it fixes it then your good, if it doesn't then deal with it until you can afford a new/used tranny.

Because you enjoy shifting like Paul Walker. Don't worry about it, if you're lucky you could possibly just have some walked bearings or something. Enjoy trying to fix that, or just buy another Y8 tranny for next to nothing.

...u don't necesarily have to buy a new/used tranny if you don't want to...i had the same problem and just got some synchros from gear-speed for 75 bucks shipped and dropped them in my tranny...good as new, and i'm loving it...

Yeah, like I said. Enjoy the repairs, or just get a comparable tranny for a low few hundred.

yes you dont have to buy a new/used tranny, its the cost of the synchro's and esp. the labor. If you know what your doing go ahead and get a replacment synchro. If not your better off buying a new/used tranny.

Unfortunatly its going to eventually turn from grinds, to popping out of gear, and eventually not go into gear at all. Its a slippery slope of progressivly worse problems. Save the trouble and get it either rebuilt or replaced asap.

o0o ractive exhaust. ? that made my stomach turn. some of ur mods r unneccesary for the hp u have. but that exhaust sounds like a fart can on crack. id just assume put a stock exhaust set up if u agree with my previous statement.

Alright alright, we get it, enough ripping on this newb.

To the OP: Replace your tranny, and take your list car mods out of your signature so you wont get ripped on.
