Default Rhino Lining . . .

Has anyone ever tried putting a spray-on bed liner in the back of their stripped hatch? i was just thinkin, it would be great for puttin bikes back there, or pretty much anything, im just not sure how heavy that stuff is. Just a thought . . . any input is welcome

Seems like a good idea, but if your stripping it for weight reduction, I wouldnt recommend Rhino Lining it (that stuff is pretty heavy)

Which is going to be heavier. the 1/8 inch thick rhino liner or carpet? I'd rather stick with the carpet.

then show us "tons of topics" instead of just saying to search...

I just searched, I couldnt find anything...

And people bash me for finding threads for people...

Any jackass can say search, it takes a useful person to say search and THEN supply links. So, are you a jackass or are you useful?

I have Rhino in my truck bed and It can not take a beating. Also a friend of mine sprayed his speaker box in that **** and it added alot of useless weight. Not worth it IMO.

I was thinking about having the underside of my car rhino coated, for rust protection... As far as weight reduction goes, Honestly how much is say 10lbs going to hurt your street car at the track?

Yeah I know what your talking about, I used to ive in gilbert and between the full sized quad cab dually Fords/Dodges/Chevy's my honda used to take a beating in the parking lots, seems like everyone who drives one of those monster trucks can never get them into a parking spot without banging the pss out of my car with their doors...Hill billy ***** need parking classes!

i have rhino in my truck.

its durability can somewhat depend on the quality and prep of the coating. my trucks bed was sanded and washed first, then coated with over 1/4" thick on the bottom, and 1/8" on the sides, rails, and gate. This **** is tough. I have managed to scrape it in a couple spots, but i dont think that anything you would put in a civic would be able to fuq with it if done right.

now for the reality check... this crap is very heavy and thick and it would be difficult to say it looks nice. i mean it looks "TOUGH" or whatever in the back of my truck... but thats a truck. if i saw it in a car i would probably use the word ugly rather then tough.

im doing the whole inside of my hatch with that stuff, i personally think its much cooler than since ull have black instead of red paint showing thru, what if u paint hte outisde of the car white, white n red will stand out , not good, also i plan on puttin it in my engine bay, and if i fix my body i might paint the whole entire outside of teh car with it as well, something new to me, i dunt think any 1 has done it, and who cares what others think, you wont have to worry much about straches dings, dents, dirtyness, etc..... also for weight, my car WILL BE fast one day so that is not a problem with me

Few things:

IMO it's too heavy if you're trying to strip the car. As someone already stated some carpet, or better yet blankets would accomplish the same thing and cost less, weigh less, and still be removable.

I'd imagine that Rhyno Liner is somewhat permanent - do you want to take that chance?

Also for the guy who said he wanted to Ryhno Line his underside of his car:

Your Honda should already have a layer of "undercoating" which is a thin layer of a rubberish Ryhno Liner-like material. Again it would only add weight and you'd be pretty much "doubling up" on the stuff.

Well I wore though alot of it, when I was going though my "how low can I go " stage...

Does anyone know where I could get undercoating touch up spray? I really don't want my Honda to start rusting....
