uhh. the gears are in the same place man.
the only thing is that the signal arm is on the right and the windshield wiper arm is on the left.

why would you think that?
you arent changing anything related to the transmission, just where you sit.

Re: (jeffk182)
think about the fact that JDM Honda motors (which by no means are a rare thing), which come out of Japanese LHD vehicles, are usable in USDM RHD Hondas without any modification to the gearbox or shifter.
then your question is answered.

Your not changing ANYTHING with the transmission. Bolt the transmission to the block, run the shift linkage and pedals and everythng else and your tranny will be fine. 1st will be where 1st normally is.

but that's only if he switches steering colums... if he just moves his they'll be on the same side. Right?

you are correct. a REAL RHD car has them flipped.

Re: (Kamin)
I gota noob question:
a) can you turn around the firewall and use the same linkage?
b) can you cut out two wholes. put the steering rack on the Right side, then weld the second hole where the LHD steering rack went and use the same rack?

Re: (Blastek)
Whats the purpose of doing the conversion?
1) You are drastically comprimising the safety of the unibody by cutting the firewal and welding a new one in.
2) I can already see that you are going to have great difficulty putting the car in the correct gears.
You are going to ruin your car, probably wreck the car, and it will no longer be registerable.
So I ask again, WHY **** with the car like this?
Just leave it be.

Re: (JDM-EJ1)
do your self a favor and learn how cars work and then ask a question that is not stupid. you are atempting to make a rhd conversion, thats not an easy task, you have biger problems at hand you got to make sure the car is level and you cut the holes correctly. i mean im not trying to bash on you but you got to ask smarter questions.
