Re: rhd, civics?? (MIRRAdekhtc)
the civic coupe in japan does exist along with the some accords, they are actually made here in the US or in canada and re-imported to japan, i have a real jdm ej1 vin tag and it says made in the USA, i had a friend get it for me in japan.

good luck getting a real rhd drive car, that would be cool
i wonder how hard it would be making a left turn from the right side of the car and not being able to see oncoming traffic???

Re: rhd, civics?? (akumaracer)
yeah, i know it would be weird to drive, but it would strictly be a once -and- awhile car..not on the road very much.
i'd seen a thread on h-t once, and the guy had posted pics of the place he gets his jspec cars from, he had some skylines, a 96-98 hatch, rx-7, and some other foreign cars i didn't recognize, but i can't remember what site it was..

Don't know about that. However IIRC, I did see a few RHD civic coupes in the bahamas.

I know a guy with a RHD saturn. He likes to take his hands off the wheel and make the home-alone face when he passes people... freaks them out

Re: rhd, civics?? (panda power)
Why an RHD car? I guess its cool cause not many people have them, but the money it takes to get one into the U.S. Unless you were getting some rare car not seen here like a skyline then yea, but to pay that much money for a Honda!?! I guess if you have the money then do what you want and props if you do get one, but I would take a little time to look at the cars we got here. RHD doesnt make you go any faster..............just some food for thought

My wife lives in asia and has a right hand drive camry. I checked on how much it would be to get here, $1600.00 by boat.

OK I will give you 1600 and you can buy me an integra how does that sound?
I assume you are just talking about shipping cost right? What about paper work, cost of car, condition of car, and miles on car.

I beleive that if you wife is still a non us citizen she/you can much more easily import this car for daily use.
look on the government website.

If you buy a front clip you can swap the interiors and front subframe probably and all that good stuff for RHD. They had Civic coupes in japan, but they were all automatics

Re: rhd, civics?? (RickChew)
yeah..thats it...YumVtec...that was the thread i was looking for.
i know rhd really is just for looks, not speed..and i know its not cheap...
this is just gonna be a nice show car, just for looks, no track use, or very much street use either, just a show car..My main choices that i'm looking at are a CTR or ITR, and i know i'm being picky, but i'm trying to find them in just white..
i also know this is gonna be alot of money for a Honda...that is not my concern, nor is making it a drag car..
thanks for all the links...
