Default Review: Jim Fab lower mounts installed

My stock lower mounts were pretty much gone (the driver's side was torn through) so I decided to get some Jim Fabs. I had ES inserts previously, and on a scale of 1-10, they made a barely noticeable difference of maybe 3. With the stock mounts, there is pretty much no vibration felt in the cabin. With the ES inserts, a small amount of vibration got through to the cabin. With the Jim Fabs, the whole cabin shakes, rattles, buzzes, and just goes nuts. They are like a 6 or 7. Now I'm just waiting on my Hasport upper and rear mounts which should be here any day now. From street car (1) to race car (10), I'm sure the Hasports will score a 10.

When the car is started, the car shakes and rumbles upon startup. At idle, there is a constant roar going through the entire car. The whole car just sounds louder--engine, transmission (my input shaft bearing is toast), and exhaust. When accelerating, the rumble turns into a hum, kind of like those massage chairs. I only drove it about 2 miles tonight, but it's a night and day difference in how the car feels. I don't think I can drive girls in this car anymore!

For $75 shipped, I give these mounts a

The jimfabs are lower mounts, while the hasports are upper and rear mounts. On my are, I have 2 lower mounts, 2 upper mounts, and 1 rear mount. I replaced the 2 lowers with the Jim Fabs, and I will be replacing the 2 upper and rear mount with the Hasport kit. So all in all, I'm replacing all of my stock mounts.

gotcha. i discarded both of my lower mounts in favor of the 3 upper hasports when i did my swap.

you still need the lower mounts. They're torque mounts which control engine movement.

i recently installed the jimfab lower mounts into my civic.... my car is about to rattle itself apart. I have paper towels stuffed into every crevice to stop the rattling.... and just recently i found 2 screws on the floor (inside the cabin) laying there... not sure where they came out of lol. but other than that... shifting feels sooooo much better. highly recommended
