Re: Rev limiter (AzntaggeR)
Im not sure... story goes.. That my car use to have a GSR in it and they guy rased it to 8200. Well now theres no GSR in there and still goes that high.. I dont know the guy , i have just talked to him once. Im thinkin that if it had an GSR ecu it wouldnt be runing right. ( i talked to him like 2 years ago )

Not really. the guy could have blew the motor. he could have had a Chipped P28 and blew the motor and put the z6 in and left the P28. im not sure what harm a chipped P28 would do to a z6 but i know that the stock valvetrain is only good up to 7500 thats it. so if uve been taking it to 8200 then u prolly floated a couple of your valves

Re: Rev limiter (JDMlifestyle)
The guy bent a valve or 2. Says the he mis-shifted to 2 on the freeway. So they took it out and put it the stock back in. He clames that he didnt want it in there when he sold it cuz the motor was hot.

Re: Rev limiter (Ape)
well, take the kicker panel out and check what kind of ecu it is. if it says p72 then it's a gsr. if it's a p28 then it might've been rechipped.

and if its a p28, take the screws off on top and take the cover off and look for a tag, usually would say the vtec xover and redline, and also the brand of the chip.....
