Retarded driver side power window...
A couple months back a shop working on my car locked the keys in it while the engine was runnning...the motor was freshly built and untuned so needless to say we needed to break the glass to shut the car off...they replaced it with brand new OEM glass and all was well for a while. Now every couple of weeks the window comes out of the track inside the door preventing me from closing it. Its a relatively simple fix when it happens however its really a pain in the *** having to pull the door pannel inthe middle of the parking lot every ccouple of weeks to put it back in its track...any ideas why it keeps coming out?

it's s typical problem. I can only open my driver side about half way and it will fall out of track afterwards. I tried many attempts in getting it algined, but I gave up.
When it's winter time, it really sucks ***.
I know that that silicone lube stuff will help at times, but it won't fix your problem.

There has to be some way to fix this...maybe im missing something. Have to call my buddy at the body shop and ask him if there is a secret to it.

I believe there is a way, only if you replace the scissor part of the assembly. This is mainly due to the fact that this part of the assembly is bent. I believe it's called the window regulator.
I had a shop replace my passenger side window and it doesn't get out of track. Problem is, the window goes down like I have mapel syrup in my doors. Body shops can usually fix these, providing that you do not have to replace any parts.
