Resurfacing flywheel to make lighter
i search and found nothing irrelvent(sp) to what i was trying to find out...
iv herd that you can have your flywheel resurfaced to make it lighter, i was curious to know if there are any pro's and con's to having this done. And what price range is it to have this done.

Re: Resurfacing flywheel to make lighter (m3dia_lab)
depends on where you take the mass out of it.
if you take it from the friction surface you will never be able to disengage the clutch because the pressure plate will be too far from the throwout fork. but if you flip over the flywheel and grind on the back side i think that would work, BUT it will probably come apart. spend the money on a good aluminum flywheel.
