resonator\exhaust please help asap
I am going to remove my resonator for the time being till I get the money to get another one. I have a 96 civic ex coupe and I need to know what size of straight pipe I would need to replace the resonator with a straight pipe for the time being. What about any o2 sensor ifs ones there. All my exhaust is stock except for a magnaflow muffler. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help. God bless

You've got the resonator and CAT mixed up by the sound of it. get about 2ft of piping and cut it too size and have a muffler/exhaust shop weld it in. not sure what the stock exhaust inner diameter is something like 1.75 inches or close to that. or find one on ebay labelled for an EX 96-00 will wprk

The O2 sensor is nowhere near your resonator. For a stock EX, it goes header (O2 sensor) -> cat (O2 sensor) -> B pipe -> axleback -> muffler. The resonator is part of the B pipe. It's not a bolt on/bolt off part, it has to be cut out. If you plan on cutting and welding it yourself, it should be 1.75". If you plan on having a shop do it, just let them do their thing - they'll have scrap piping to fit it.
