Resetting SRS Light

Here's the situation:

I installed a new dash and srs wheel in my ej1 over the weekend and after taking the wheel off a few times to get it perfectly straight I'm now showing an SRS light. Before taking the wheel off again, I want to see if simply resetting the SRS comp. will solve my prob. If it doesn't, I'll dive deeper into it. I did a search and the only useful thread I fould was this one:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=264288

Problem is, the pics that helped explain were taken down so I can't really make any sense of it. I've read the Helms on this and I think the thread is a basic way of doing what the Helms recommends but I'm not going to go buy a test harness form honda for the SRS system and without the pics in the above thread I'm lost....Can anyone shed some light on this?

I can either just unhook my airbag and drive it like that, but I'd rather get everything straightened out the correct way..... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: Resetting SRS Light (nimblecivic)

On the in-car fuse box there should be a little yellow plug with yellow wrapped wires coming off it, this is the MES plug connected to the SRS system. With the car off bridge the circuits in the plug with a bent paperclip. Turn the car to the on position. Wait until the light goes off then pull one end of the paperclip out of the plug. Do all this with the ignition still set to on. When the light comes back on after going off put bridge the plug again. Do this a few times (I forget how many, maybe only 2 or 3) until the light starts flashing. Then turn off the ignition and take the paperclip out. Then turn the car on and the SRS light should go off after 5 or so seconds if everything is working in the SRS system. The procedure for resetting sounds complicated, but really it isn't. When the guy I sold my dash and door panels to came up to my house to pick them up, I noticed his SRS light was on so I offered to fix it, he accepted, and it took like 15 seconds to fix. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

sounds like what I just did.....I found the same info listed on here for obdII cars so I thought I'd give it a shot but when I turn my ignition to position II the srs light does not go off.....I'm stumped...

That means there must be a screwed up connection or faulty device in your SRS system.
