to reset the ecu, disconnect the negitive side of the battery, do that for 15-30 min. and then drive or at least leave it at idle for a 1/2 hour. its nice if you add any sort of mod to your car. the ecu adjusts for the new peice of the equipment .

Re: reseting the ecu (B18RCoupe)
so theres no fuses to pull? he pulled the e\i fuse under the hood. and the back up fuse it had (radio) next to it. so i figured that the backup fuse was for the raido. and the E\I was for the ecu am i right or did he messup?
I have a bunch of mods to my car so if resseting helps I's like to know how to proprely do it.

Re: reseting the ecu (cp_harrington)
the easier way is to go to the under hood fuse box while the car is not running and pull the ECU fuse. it should be listed on the fuse box lid or owners manual. its a 7.5 amp fuse (or should be if it was replace before) pull it out let it sit for a few minutes. put the fuse back in and let it idle for 5 minutes, without reving it or pushing the gas. btw, the ecu and radio backup fuse are the same..... oh and it really doesnt make a difference, the computer adjusts after your mods, it just has to be driven a bit, the only use for this is to clear codes.
