Repolishing Your OEM Honda/Acura Wheels
Well I have a set of OEM GSR Fat Fives on my car right now, the rims have no curb marks and were beautiful when i first bought them. Well i was broke and i needed brake pads, so i threw a set of autozone pads on my car and well it ruined my polish on the wheel. So my question to you is, is there a way to repolish my wheels without having to go through the whole process of 200-1500grit sandpaper, ive heard you can use 0 gauge steel wool then go up the line to 00 gauge steel wool and it will make it look new

they need to be refinised, i have tried everything to remove the "cloudyness" on the wheels
Question: When polishing metal, should you use an orbital sander?

You probably just need some metal polish. You can get it at the parts store, it's basically a big can filled with cotton like material and a polishing chemical soaked into it. It goes on and comes off like wax.

Well, do you have any pics? How did this 'cloudiness' happen? It almost sounds like the finish could have been worn off or something; possibly by a chemical or cleaner.
I haven't ever heard of a street pad ruining the finish on rims. I've seen (I think) Hawk Blue racing pad dust get baked onto a rim and it not coming off, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Try stripping the wheels and then repolshing them with a polish. I know tons of people that have done that to oem wheels and they looked great! Blingin

The haze is more than likely in the clearcoat, no amount of polish or neverdull is going to remove it... you're honestly better off using regular polish if it is actually clearcoat. if that doesn't work it looks like you're in for some strippin and polishing...

take some 400,600,and1000 git sandpaper 2 them in that order. then ues a buffer or a rag and sum mothers aluminum polish them ***** will come out like glass. if you dont have a d.a. and a compresser it'll take a couple days

go up to 2000. Its alot easier if you use 800 and 1500 inbetween also, (less time sanding)
