Replacing Transmission
Hey guys,
I am a TOTAL noob at cars period. I really have no clue what is going on, haha. I heard my friends talking a lot and showing me stuff so I knew a FEW things, but I'm sure you've got more knowledge in your pinky than I do in my entire body of cars. Please excuse my terrible car vocabulary, as I probably sound like a 5th grader playing Grand Turismo 3. Anyways...
So I drive a '92 Civic DX. Yes I know, you're thinking the same as I am: What a piece of junk. My friend also drives a Civic from somewhere around '92 or so, but he has replaced so much in his car that you see it and you think it's just another grocery getter but when you see it take off you change your mind, so I know something is possible. I am not trying to make my car suitable for NASCAR, and I just am sick of being able to play a full game of Solitare before I hit 60 MPH. Unfortunately my car is automatic which is quite lame, and I hear that I should get a stick before I mess with anything else. I was wondering exactly what do I need, who should do it, how much the whole thing would cost for replacing my entire auto transmission with a manual because I won't be getting a new car for a few years and like I said, I don't want to have the cement mixing truck beat me off the line. Any thoughts or anything would help I am very eager to learn about anything. Sorry that I have no clue what I am talking about. hahaha
