Replacing Taillights
I have a 96 honda civic 2dr ex with the taillights that have the amber (orange) in them and am planning to by the SI style taillights. Does anybody know of a good DIY as far as replacing taillights are concerned? Or can anybody just explain it to me really simply?

easy as hell. pop a few clips for the plastic. then you have the whole tail light assembly staring at u. pop a few nuts open with a socket. bam. its all out. swap the new one in. takes less than 30mins

haha yeah, its very easy and self explanatory when you actually do it, just dont be a moron like i was and accidently shut the trunk on the bulbs, be careful for that, and its cake.

Re: Replacing Taillights (TurboFart)
Oh wow. Really it isn't hard at all... I did it one morning in 10 min when I got my 99-00 tail lights. I wanted them in before school!
Just look at it... really it isn't hard at all. Take off some screws. Pop out the old tail light. Put new one on. Screw back on. Easy as pie.

Re: Replacing Taillights (Civic4less)
Is there a difference between the coupe and sedan red/clear tail light models for the civic? Can I buy either one? Will they both fit? Because on ebay there seems to be quite a difference in price between the two. Also, if anybody has any other recommendations besides ebay please let me know! = D

Sedan will not fit coupe and vice-versa. But any '96-00 sedan will fit another '96-00 sedan and any 96-00 coupe will fit '96-00 coupe. Trust me, when my ex-girlfriend rear ended me, the dealer got a '99-00 trunk lid and it worked with my car.
